Monza financial police investigators alleged that Raffaele Cantalupo, deputy mayor and environment councilor of the Cologno Monzese municipality, and the town’s building councilor Maurizio Diaco had taken a 300,000-euro bribe to award Sangalli and Company a 28-million euro contract.
